  • Florida Gulf Coast University - Ruth L.   • Florida Southern College - Freshman Scholarships
  • Saint Leo University - is waiving application fee for Florida students.
  • Lynn University - Dean's Scholarship - $10,000 renewable with college GPA of 3.00.  Students must meet two of the following three requirements:  3.25 GPA, SAT 1100 or ACT 24; be in the top 20% of their high school class.

  • Nova Southeastern University - Leadership Roundtable Scholarship, $4,000 each year renewable ($2,500 toward tuition, $1,000 toward housing, and $500 toward meal plan).  Awards for potential for leadership, service and scholarship; requires a minimum GPA of 2.5/850 SAT.  Deadline February 2005.  For more info, contact jmiles@nova.edu or call 800-338-4723, ext. 8093.
  • Palm Beach Atlantic University - Music Scholarship - $500 - $10,000 awarded to qualified music students based upon demonstrated vocal and/or instrumental ability in an audition.  Priority is given to music majors.   Theatre Scholarship - $500 - $10,000 awarded to qualified performing arts majors or minors based upon an audition.  Deadlines May 1, 2005.   • St. Leo University - Leadership Scholarship and Music Grant, $1,000 annual for each.  Deadline March 1, 2005. For more info, contact the Office of Admission at 800-334-5532.
  • University of North Florida - UNF Academic Scholarship - $20,000 ($5,000 a year for 4 years) and use of a laptop computer during the duration of the scholarship.  Student must be first time in college student who is a National Merit, National Achievement or National Hispanic Scholar Finalist and designate UNF as their college of first choice according to National Merit Corporation guidelines.  Deadline April 1, 2005.  For more info, click here.
  • University of West Florida - John C. Please consider these schools!  Some of them may offer funding equal to or greater than Bright Futures funding.

  • Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Tifton, GA - 
    The Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund Scholarship. Includes unfunded tuition, fees books, supplies, housing and meals; awarded annually.  Open to Hispanic/Latino students whose family resides in the USA.  Minimum 2.5 GPA, with a minimum SAT score of 480 verbal and 400 math.  Deadline March 1, 2005.  For more information, contact ABAC Foundation at 800-733-3653 or click here.
  • Atlanta College of Art, Atlanta, GA  
    Presidential Centennial Scholarship -

  • Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, NC -  
    Presidential Scholars Scholarship. 
    Full tuition, fees, room award.  Must have 1300 SAT and 3.5 GPA. Saint Benedict Scholarship $4,000 - $12,000 per year.  Must have 1000 SAT and 3.0 GPA  Deadlines on both is March 1, 2005. For more info, call 888-222-0110
  • Chowan College,  Murfreesboro, NC - 
    Leadership Scholarship.
      Full Tuition Scholarship, over $14,000 per year; renewable.  Student should serve in a Leadership capacity in one of the following areas:  Student Government, Senior Class Officer, Eagle Scout; Golden Feather Award through Girl Scouts or is the Captain of an athletic team; must remain active on campus and in the community. Deadline January 15, 2005.  
    Chowan College Merit Scholarship

  • Clemson University, Clemson, SC  
    Clemson National Scholars Program.  Up to all-inclusive costs including tuition, fees, room, board, laptop computer and allowance for book and living expenses; renewable.  Based exclusively on merit and granted through a rigorous, competitive evaluation process that considers proven academic excellence, leadership and commitment to experiential learning.  Deadline December 1, 2004.
