System Tech I (82090200) This course is designed to fundamentals of
computer technology for use in the business industry.
Students will develop proficiency in touch keyboarding for
efficient software use and computer applications such as word
processing, spreadsheets, databases, publishing and presentation
software. Pre-requisite for any Business /
Technology Course.
Digital Design/Yearbook 1 - 6

This course provides a
broad foundation of knowledge and skills in the digital media
industry and hands-on experience in design, layout, photography,
writing and editing used specifically for the production of
the school yearbook. The course is fast-paced and deadline
oriented. Staff is assigned at the teacher's discretion.
Students are responsible for selling advertisements to fund the
publication
of the yearbook.
Computer Graphics &
PhotoShop 1 - 3 (82095303),
(82095403), (82095503) This program enables students to
develop basic knowledge of computer graphic systems and to produce
computer-generated images by applying the elements of art and
principles of design. Some topics include the use of equipment and
materials; art and computer graphics vocabulary; media, processes,
and techniques; elements of art and principles of design;
individual and sequential images; formal, expressive, and
conceptual elements; critical thinking and analysis.
Completion of this program will allow the student to be eligible
for the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award (GSV) if they
meet all other requirements.
Graphic Arts & Animation 1 -

This
program represents the current and expanding field of digital
technology, and provides students with a foundation of knowledge
and technically-oriented experiences in the study of
communications technology, specifically graphics and animation.
This program focuses on transferable skills, and stresses
understanding and demonstration of the technological tools,
machines, instruments, materials, processes and systems in
business and industry. The content includes, but is not limited to
a study of the processes, uses, and technical skills found in
visual technologies (both conventional and digital procedures),
computer animation and graphics, electronic media and other new
and emerging technologies. (also known as Communications
Technology 1 - 3) Completion of this program will
allow the student to be eligible for the Florida Gold Seal
Vocational Scholars Award (GSV) if they meet all other
requirements.
