(82072100) This course develops
entry-level knowledge and skills for employment in PC support services
careers, including knowledge needed to obtain the
industry-standard A+ Certification.
Emphasis is placed on developing
an understanding of various computer software applications and
computer hardware. Students will perform word processing,
spreadsheet, database, presentation, desktop publishing, and accounting activities with software
commonly used in business. Students will also develop proficiency
in basic preventative hardware
maintenance and the use of various features of a browser.

(82072200) This course continues the development of basic
entry-level skills for PC support services,
including knowledge needed to obtain the industry-standard A+
Certification. The content includes
software applications and operating systems, electronic
communications via the internet, and an introduction to computer
networking.

Support III
(82072300) This course continues the study of PC support
services and is designed to develop advanced skills for
employment, including knowledge
needed to obtain the industry-standard A+ Certification. The content includes advanced software applications,
the interrelationships among major components of networks,
hardware installation, and selection of electronic communication
software and hardware.
Completion of this program will allow the student to be eligible
for the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award (GSV) if they
meet all other requirements.

(82072400) This course continues the development of advanced
skills for entry-level employment in PC support services
positions, including obtaining the
industry-standard A+ Certification. The content includes utilization of advanced
software/systems features and programs, integration techniques to
enhance projects, network administration, components of web pages,
and preventative hardware maintenance.

Support V
(82072500) This course continues the development of advanced
skills for entry-level employment in PC support services
positions, including knowledge
needed to obtain the industry-standard A+ Certification. The content includes utilization of advanced
software/system feature network administration, components of web
pages, and preventative hardware maintenance. |
