Drafting / Engineering Academy Courses

Engineering Drafting (86008100)
This course provides students with an introduction to the knowledge, human relations, and technical skills of drafting technology. The student will get practical experience in the use of drafting equipment, geometric construction, orthographic projection and 3-D drawings.

Architectural Drafting (86008200)
This course provides students with an expanded study and application of the architectural planning, design and construction.  The student will apply drafting procedures to the development of floor plans, elevations, sectional drawings, electrical , site layouts, plot plans, and landscape plans.   Pre-requisite - Engineering Drafting (86008100)

Advanced Drafting (86008300)
This course provides students with an advanced study and application of the knowledge, human relations, and technical skills of drafting and/or architectural drafting. Pre-requisite - Architectural Drafting (86008200) 
Completion of this program will allow the student to be eligible for the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award (GSV) if they meet all other requirements.

Engineering Tech I (86005700)
The purpose of this program is to prepare students in the concepts and practices that underlie engineering and related careers. The program integrates the high technology applications of mathematics and science concepts into pre-engineering activities. The challenges of a career as an engineer, technologist or technician are explored. The content includes but is not limited to a study of the application of mechanical, fluid, electrical and thermal concepts, mathematics, chemistry, physics, computer application, and technical skills of engineering technology. The content and activities will also include the study of entrepreneurship work group organization, work breakdown structures, legal and ethical constraints on the practice of engineering, safety, and leadership skills.

Engineering Tech II (86006700)
This course provides students with an expanded study and application of the knowledge, human relations, and technical skills of engineering technology.

Engineering Tech III (86007700)

Completion of this program will allow the student to be eligible for the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award (GSV) if they meet all other requirements.
