Engineering Drafting (86008100)
This course provides
students with an introduction to the knowledge, human relations, and
technical skills of drafting technology. The student will get practical
experience in the use of drafting equipment, geometric construction,
orthographic projection and 3-D drawings.
Architectural
Drafting (86008200)
This course provides
students with an expanded study and application of the architectural
planning, design and construction. The student will apply drafting
procedures to the development of floor plans, elevations, sectional
drawings, electrical , site layouts, plot plans, and landscape plans.
Pre-requisite - Engineering Drafting (86008100)

Drafting (86008300)
This course provides
students with an advanced study and application of the knowledge, human
relations, and technical skills of drafting and/or architectural drafting.
Pre-requisite - Architectural Drafting (86008200)
Completion of
this program will allow the student to be eligible for the Florida Gold Seal
Vocational Scholars Award (GSV) if they meet all other requirements.
Engineering Tech I
(86005700)
The purpose of this program is to prepare
students in the concepts and practices that underlie engineering and related
careers. The program integrates the high technology applications of
mathematics and science concepts into pre-engineering activities. The
challenges of a career as an engineer, technologist or technician are
explored. The content includes but is not limited to a study of the
application of mechanical, fluid, electrical and thermal concepts,
mathematics, chemistry, physics, computer application, and technical skills
of engineering technology. The content and activities will also include the
study of entrepreneurship work group organization, work breakdown
structures, legal and ethical constraints on the practice of engineering,
safety, and leadership skills.
