The Haines City High School Junior
Reserve Officer's Training Corps (JROTC) unit was authorized by General
Order #23, Department of the Army, dated April 22nd, 1971. In the
school year of 1971-72, this unit
began it's first year in training at this institution. Since
then, the unit has been an Honor Unit 18 times, and an Honor Unit
with Distinction 14 times. The JROTC at Haines City High School is one of
the finest U.S. Army JROTC units in the State of Florida.
