Television Production Courses
Video Production I (11003000) The purpose of this course it
to provide opportunities for students to develop introductory skills
in television production and digital video editing. The content includes a
brief history of TV an its role in mass media; television-related careers; writing for TV; and basic equipment used such as
camcorders, cameras, lights, microphones, and VCRs.

Production II (11003100) The purpose of this course is to
provide opportunities for students to develop skills in the use of more
advanced equipment for television production and to help in producing television programs. The content should include
developing skills for writing, producing, directing
and digital video editing TV programs, basic set design and use of equipment such
as camera control, units, audio boards, and editors.
Video
Production III (11003200) Students will be able to plan, set up,
and produce a multiple camera television production such as a
sporting event, band contest, graduation ceremony, etc. They will
learn to assign crew responsibilities, select talent, pre-produce
graphics, set up rehearsals, direct the production itself, and
follow up on all post-producing, directing and editing TV control,
units, audio boards, and editors.

Production IV (11003300)
The purpose of this course is to
gain independence in planning, writing, producing, supervising, and
performing in television productions.
