Our Mission

Our mission is to assist students in becoming effective creators of ideas and information. We do this by providing them with a wide variety of books, periodicals, newspapers, and computer resources for them to use with their classroom work, as well as for their recreational reading and research.


Book Check Out Policy

Loan Period: 2 Weeks

Maximum student checkout: 4 (students will only be allowed 1 checkout if they have any overdue books from another school. If you owe a HCHS book, you must read from your classroom library until you obligation is met for your overdue book.)

Destiny is used for the Polk County Schools district library catalog.

To check what you have out or to check your obligations/fines, click on the My Info tab. If you see obligations, you need to take care of them! For library books, see Mrs. Hoffmann or Mrs. Ryan in either media center. All other obligations are handled through the main office with Mrs. Appling or Mrs. Allen.
