Revision 3 is exactly how it sounds, the third major revision to the Haines City High School web site. It replaced Revision 2 in February of 2009.

Quite simply, the creation of Revision 3 was fueled by the negative feedback we received regarding Revision 2 and the compatibility issues it had with older browsers. We aimed to change all of that with this current version, fixing all of the bugs from the previous revision as well as making some new innovations with this new web site.

With the exception of much lesser known and/or extremely old browsers, this new site has been tested and works perfectly on all mediums. It was built using valid XHTML 1.0 Strict, as per the guidelines of the W3C.

One of the trademark features from Revision 2, the accordion style navigation menu, has been removed and replaced with a static one to insure stability and capatibility, although the actual menu and submenus haven't changed.

On the developer's end, Revision 3 is much easier to maintain and edit. Its organization and code structure were not present in earlier versions and now make a simple job of consistently updating the site's content.

This new revision also sees the end of the dark color scheme used in the previous one. Because of this, the site is now easier to read and navigate.

We believe that most change is good, and this new site is good change for us. It has all of the information you'd expect from a school web site, while keeping the simplicity that makes a site fun to visit. Once you've had time to get used to the layout and understand the basic functions of what is offered, we think you'll agree with us.
