Student Mental Health Lessons

The State Board of Education issued Rule 6A-1.094121 requiring all students in grades 6-12 receive 5 hours of instruction in the areas of mental and emotional health education, including instruction in the areas of general mental health, substance abuse, and suicide prevention. Polk County high school teachers will be providing this education during the month of January. These lessons are scheduled to be taught at Haines City High School on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 .
